Update from August 3rd, 2026: We have changed the terms for transfers to Uzbekistan. In this article, we explain what’s new.

We are constantly working on making transfers with Profee convenient, clear and cost-effective. In this article, we explain how the cost of a transfer to Uzbekistan is structured and which transfer method is currently the most advantageous.

What makes up the cost of a transfer

The cost of any transfer to Uzbekistan consists of two parts:

  • Exchange rate to Uzbekistani som

The price at which the sending currency, such as PLN or EUR, is exchanged into UZS. The exchange rate depends on many factors and may change during the day.

  • Fee

A charge that helps us send your money quickly and securely. Fees depend on the transfer amount, as well as on the sending and receiving methods. We show the rates, fees for each transfer method and the final converted amount in advance. Before you confirm the transfer, you can see exactly how much your loved one in Uzbekistan will receive – without hidden charges and no unexpected terms.

How we make transfer pricing easier to understand

From August 3rd, 2026, we are simplifying the transfer cost structure. Previously, part of the cost was included in the exchange rate and part in the fee. Now the exchange rate is closer to the market rate – you can compare it with the Google rate before sending – while the service cost is shown in the fee.

If you send money from a card, the final amount that reaches the recipient remains the same as before. Only the way the cost is displayed has changed. Important: the fee amount depends on the transfer amount and the payment and receiving methods. We always show you the exact terms before you send.

How to send money to Uzbekistan even more cost-effectively: the Profee wallet

The Profee wallet is your balance within our service.

How the wallet works:

  1. You top up your balance by card, bank account, Volt, BLIK, Apple Pay/Google Pay, crypto or cash (available methods vary by country). PLN, CZK, DKK, NOK, RON and SEK top-ups are currently fee-free.
  2. The money is stored in your wallet.
  3. When you need to send it, you choose the wallet as the payment method.
  4. Enjoy low fees.

The wallet is more beneficial because transfers within Profee require lower costs than direct transfers from a card or account. This allows us to offer better terms for you.

Example calculation of the final transfer cost

Let’s imagine we are sending 1,000 PLN to Uzbekistan. In this case, the exchange rate, fee and final amount received will be as follows:

Method Exchange rate Fee Recipient receives
From card, previously standard 1.99 PLN 888,000 UZS
From card, now improved 3.99 PLN 888,000 UZS
Via wallet, previously standard 1 EUR 1,300,000 UZS
Via wallet, now improved 2 EUR 1,300,000 UZS

Can I send a transfer straight away, without the wallet?

Yes. Direct transfers from a card or account work the same way as before: before sending, you see the exchange rate, fee and final amount, then confirm the transfer in one tap.

Do the exchange rate and fee change?

The UZS exchange rate changes depending on market conditions, so before each transfer we show the current terms. The fee amount depends on the transfer amount, as well as on the sending and receiving methods. You always see the full cost before confirming the transfer.
