What is a Profee wallet?

Profee wallet is a balance inside your Profee app that you can top up in advance and use for fast, cost-effective international transfers. It works as a secure place to hold money and send it whenever you’re ready — for example, when the exchange rate is especially favourable.

Who can use the wallet?

The Wallet is available to customers who have provided the required identity details — a government-issued ID and proof of address. You may need to provide the following during in-app verification:

• A valid government-issued photo ID (passport or national ID for EU nationals)
• A short liveness/video check
• Proof of address — a document that shows your current residential address in Europe and includes your full name, such as a utility bill or a rent contract issued within the past 6 months.

The process is handled through our in-app verification bot and typically takes just a few minutes. In some rare cases, we may ask you for additional details.

Which platforms is the wallet available on?

The wallet feature is available in the Profee mobile applications for iOS and Android.

Where do I find the wallet in the app?

You’ll see a banner on the home screen and a “Wallet” tab at the bottom of the app’s navigation menu.

Which currency does the wallet support?

Wallet funding and transfers currently work in EUR.

How do I top up my wallet?

To top up your wallet, simply tap the wallet icon in the bottom menu or the banner on the home screen. If your account is fully verified, tap Top up, enter the amount you need, and choose a payment method. You can add money only in EUR using the methods available in your app:

• Bank transfer (from a bank in the euro area): you will see the account details inside the app. Copy these details and complete the payment from your online banking app. Your bank processes the transfer according to its standard timelines.
• Bank card top-up. During top-up you will see only the methods available to your account for EUR funding.

Why is topping up via bank often the most cost-effective?

Bank transfers are typically cheaper than card top-ups because card schemes often include higher fees. By topping up your wallet via bank transfer, you can fund your balance in advance and then use it for transfers when you’re ready — avoiding delays or issues when you send.

How quickly can I send money from the wallet?

Once your Wallet is funded in EUR, transfers using the Wallet option are completed within moments on our side.

Are there any limits for the wallet?

The wallet follows your overall account limits and any applicable payment-method limits. The wallet balance and your transfer amounts both count toward your total account limits. For example: if you completed full verification in March and have already sent €5,000 since then, and your annual limit is €30,000, you still have €25,000 available to send for the rest of the year — whether you choose to pay from your Wallet or with any other supported method.

Can I get a virtual card with my wallet?

Yes. Once your wallet is available, you can request a virtual card directly in the app. It’s fully digital, issued in a few taps, and can be used for online purchases and payments. The card is managed entirely inside the Profee app.

Is my money safe in the wallet?

Absolutely. Profee is an Electronic Money Institution regulated by the Central Bank of Cyprus. Your funds are held in segregated safeguarding accounts, your data is protected with PCI DSS Level 1 certification, and we use encrypted connections and high-security tier-4 data centres.
