Simple, secure and convenient

Add your eligible Profee prepaid card to Google Pay™ on Android phone* and you'll be set to pay in participating apps and anywhere contactless payments are accepted.

*Works with most NFC capable Android devices running Android Lollipop (5.0) and higher.

How to add a card

  • Download Google Pay from the Google Play Store;
  • Open the Google Pay app on your phone and tap the '+' sign;
  • When you're prompted to add a card, enter your card information manually in the Google Pay app;
  • Please select to receive your one-time verification code by SMS, then enter it into the appropriate field;
  • Once it's verified, your card is ready to use with Google Pay.

Your card can be added on up to 10 devices. You can add as many cards as you wish to your device.

How to pay

In store

Make sure your Profee card is a default card, by pressing ‘’Make default’’ under the Profee card in Google Pay app. To use Google Pay in stores, place your device against the payment terminal with a contactless sign. Some transactions may require to unlock the screen on your device.

In app

To pay with Google Pay in participating apps, select the Profee card as a payment method and tap ‘’buy’’ in the app. Your selected Profee card will remain default for further purchases within this app; this selection can be different from the card you use as default for store purchases.

What is Google Pay and which devices are compatible?

Google Pay is a way to pay in stores and within participating apps using a compatible Android device. Simply download Google Pay from the Google Play Store, add your Profee prepaid card, and you can transact using Google Pay. Google Pay works with most NFC capable Android™ devices running Android Lollipop (5.0) or higher.

Is Google Pay free and safe to use?

Free to use

Profee won't charge you for using Google Pay, but charges from your mobile network provider may apply depending on your data plan.

Safe to use

When you pay with Google Pay, a virtual account number is assigned to represent your account information and your actual card number is not sent to the merchant - so your card details are safe.

Which Profee cards can I use with the Google Pay?

Currently the only eligible cards for use with Google Pay are Profee VISA cards. Other card types offered by Profee do not support this functionality.

In which countries I can use my Profee card with Google Pay?

You can make contactless payments, use loyalty cards, gift cards, offers, event tickets and boarding passes in the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Finland, Slovakia. You can use Google Pay during your online purchases or in apps in the United Kingdom, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Estonia, Finland, Luxembourg, Slovakia.

What if my Android device is lost or stolen?

It is suggested to enable the remote location access for your device in advance, in case you need to search for it. If your phone is lost or stolen, you can find, lock, or erase it using Android Device Manager.

Alternatively, you can:

  • Instantly Freeze your card in your mobile application to prevent any unauthorised payments;
  • Contact Profee Customer Support at help@profee.com to suspend or remove your card from Google Pay;
  • Call Profee Customer Support on +357 22 000 253* to suspend or remove your card from Google Pay.
